Iskar 3 is set in the village ofTsarevets which is 4Km
from Mezdra and 24Km from Vratsa, There is a local
daily bus service at regular intervals into Mezdra and
from there you have a choice of train to anywhere in
Bulgaria or bus to Vratsa and various other places.
Tsarevets village has a population of around 450.  
In the village there is a cafe, small restaurant., and post
office. This village as has two churches, the orginal one 
has been recently lovingly restored and is a mostly
unkown jewel of the area.

Mezdra is a working town and one of the main factories
in the town is the Ledenika beer factory which is
Bulgarias most popular beer and well worth a taste.
The area is also famous for their marble/stone cutting
factories. In the last 18 months Mezdra has undergone
a cosmetic face lift, with parts of the shopping centre
being repaved and new centre fountain area been built.
The old castle ruin on the banks of the Iskar River
is also being made accessible in an attempt to attract
more tourism to the area.
